Glebe Fair Disasters.

Some pics from my market stall at the Glebe Fair.
It all started when I arrived at my sister's house in Sydney and smashed her pot her jade plant was in. Not one for superstition, and avoiding the jade money plant who-ha, I cleaned it up and thought "must buy her a new plant when she moves." Then I went to the Glebe Fair and had a stall with my sister and had a great morning. Met some great people and had some really positive feedback on my stuff, then two teenage girl shites distracted me and robbed me. Feeling like an absolute gimp for having a tin with some money in it, I won't make that mistake again. Hard lesson to learn, but the police said they had also targeted other people that day. Feeling absolutely devastated a lovely pregnant woman came up and then bought my first ever quilt - so this made my day. I would just like to thank all those people who came up and bought something from me on Sunday and especially to those people who offered kind words and support after I was robbed. Most of all I would like to thank my ace sister Sarah who got me back on track and said, 'yep, it's crap, but you've still got 4 more hours to sell stuff. So look up, smile at your customers and get on with it'. This is just what I needed as there was nothing I could do, but buck up and get on with it. Thanks Sar...

I am so sorry - that is really mean. But great news on selling your quilt. And great to have such a sister.

That's awful, but I am glad you were able to follow your sister's advice. The big smoke sucks at times, doesn't it?

I find it terrible that someone would do this. It's great you had such amazing and positive support on the day.

You did well lovey, chin up and look to the positive.... all the best and maybe I'll swing by if you're going to be at the markets next weekend, as we've got interstate visitors that I don't know what to do with!

thanks for the lighting tip...i hadn't thought of it...i was more worried about getting to my car in the dark...and remembering where i had parked it...
i had just thought the place would have all that, i havn't paid for a power source and thought there probably wouldn't have enough outlets to go around...
do you know what time you can start setting up?

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the lovely comments. Can you believe the hide of those girls? Michelle I'm thinking about taking some gas camping lights. I haven't got any info yet about setup, but I'm guessing 2pm should be fine to turn up. Veronica Darling if you feel like venturing up the highway with the interstaters, I'm going to be at the Olive tree Markets on the 29th November - The Junction Public School (Newcastle). It goes from 3-8pm.

bad luck...yes well you can set yourself a new project to make a cool hip zip bag with extra long ties that wrap around you. The stall looks brilliant, well done!

What a horrifying thing to happen to you. Wow. It makes me think of all the times it might have happened to me. (I did have my purse stolen once.) I'm so sorry that this happened to you. Awesome news on the quilt though!!! Yippee!
