Olive Tree Markets

Here are some cards that are proving quite popular with the market crowd.
Yay for the Olive Tree Markets. What a great day! Finally a decent market in Newcastle. I couldn't believe the turn out and best of all sales!!!!! I took chairs to sit in, but hardly had a chance to sit until the end of the day. Naomi was the star seller of the day. Everytime I went to cruise the other stalls she would sell something, which was a bit fun to check the increasing sales figures everytime I came back. Now I have to burn rubber on the Janome for this weekend as I'm doing the Darby Street Festival with the lovely Susi from Three Little Birds.

Yah. Where and when. Is it a "last Sunday of the month" type thing? I'd love to take a drive up to visit the market and some of my other favourite Newcastle haunts. Is the Birmo theatre still there? I had heard it closed.

I am sooooo pleased you are having a good time, and selling plenty too. Markets are fun...but over here they are wet and cold, so not as much fun :(

Hey Katiecrackernuts. The markets are the first Saturday in the month. The next Olive Tree Markets held at the Junction Public School are on the 1st of November. The Regal shut as of a couple of years ago. I loved that cinema and the little old guy pottering around running it. I had my uni short film graduation there so I have very fond memories of it.
