Quilt Mania

So I've got a few things going on this week. Rather than actually finishing what I should be doing, I've been making a quilt. It started at 10pm on Sunday night and finished up today. I know quilts are supposed to take a lot longer, but I'm a manic crafter and machine stitched it all. I know the die-hard quilters out there may scoff, but I'm just too impatient to hand-stitch. This is my first ever attempt at a quilt. I'd been putting off making a quilt for so long because it just seemed so involved and I could never decide what colours and fabrics to use. The quilting mania hit me on Sunday night and I just went with it and I'm super happy with how it turned out. It's a cot quilt and I made a little pillow to go with it. I've thrown in a few linocut prints of mine in the mix which gives it the uniqueness I was after. How do you photograph a quilt though? This is my attempt.

hand quilting? Nah - it hurts! (well, it does hurt my crappy old hands)
